Up to 6.5 million people In the UK consciously avoid the dentist, even when experiencing extreme pain. Of the out of those who are dental patients, forty percent regularly experience anxiety, ranging from mild discomfort to extreme fear. And, nowhere is this problem more acute than when dealing with children, which is stressful for both patient and dentist alike.
So, how can you help to restore confidence and allay fears?
During this detailed and informative presentation, Rob Endicott introduces the practice of using pharmaceuticals to manage dental anxiety. In just three hours (which also qualifies as CPD), you’ll understand the routes to qualification, the ways in which patient’s lives can be dramatically improved and how this will make more of your clients dedicated fans of your work.
Since 2004, Rob has focused on dental anxiety, regularly employing sedation to help patients from the mildly nervous to the extremely phobic. During this period he’s performed in excess of 2,500 intravenous sedations and over 200 by inhalation. Rob is also an active member of both SAAD and the Dental Sedation Teachers Group, acting as a registered mentor for both organisations.
