At the Warwickshire Dental Training Institute in Stratford upon Avon, we take a fresh approach to the training and support of Dentists and Dental Staff.

It is philosophy that lifelong skills in the dental sector cannot necessarily be learned just from a solitary course.
Initial training is good for getting the knowledge in there but what good is learning a new skill that you never get to practice and can never provide evidence that you can do it? Learning is definitely a journey.
Excellence in training a new skill involves not only the initial learning, but also logbooks of cases, and ongoing training and support.
Another philosophy of the Warwickshire dental training institute is to ensure that Dental support staff we train can enhance their CVs to show not only their skill level but also evidence of their skills in practice. We believe this for all Dental Staff, whether they are Dentists, Therapists, Hygienists, Dental Nurses or Practice Management team members. In this difficult economic climate, where there is a lot more competition for the top jobs in Dentistry, to achieve what you want to in life, people have to stand out from the crowd.
We believe that the role of the dental nurse is crucial to delivering fantastic dental health care, and we believe vehemently in empowering dental personnel to be truly dental professionals.
Courses we will be running at the Warwickshire Dental Training Institute include:
  • Dental Sedation for dental nurses in order to sit the NEBDN certificate. We are working towards being an accredited training practice
  • Dental Sedation update courses for all dental members, including updates on alternative techniques like Intranasal Sedation
  • Impression taking, photograph taking, model making and bleaching tray fabrication for dental nurses, hygienists and therapists
  • In conjunction with Ivoclar UK we run courses on anterior and posterior composites for dentists and therapists
  • We will run lectures on modern dental ceramics, debunking the mysteries of the range of dental materials out there.
  • We are an excellent host venue for trainers and lecturers who wish to present courses or study groups for up to 20 people

Not only do we provide education for dental personnel but we also provide a range of logbooks in order to track your progress after training.
Our facilities include:
  • A comfortable lecture theatre seating up 20 people with full AV facilities, including Apple TV and Webinar recording
  • A breakout room for clinical training and socialising
  • A live video feed through microscopy and cameras into the training room from the dental surgery
  • Large LCD screen in dental surgery to demonstrate techniques
